Presented by: Rob Argue Rob Argue is a local resident of Ottawa where he grew up fishing on the Gatineau river at his family cottage through the late 70’s and early 80’s. Rob graduated as a Fish and Wildlife Technician from Sir Sandford Fleming college in the early 90’s and began his career with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources at that time. Most recently, after years of new outdoors men and women hiring Rob for individual guiding activities, he began his newest venture in 2022 called New Outdoors. New Outdoors offers those new to hunting, fishing, boating and other outdoor related activities the opportunity to learn in a practical and hands on environment of how to fish and hunt. |

Few people have spent as much time on the Ottawa River as John and he has chased muskies throughout Canada and the US. John has been heavily involved in muskie research for decades and has earned a reputation on the US show circuit as an excellent speaker and educator. ![]() TIPS TO MAKE YOU A BETTER BASS ANGLER Presented by: Dave Chong David Chong is one of Canada’s most recognizable and successful competitive tournament anglers. He is a multi-species angler who has won numerous bass, pike, crappie and perch tournaments, “Angler of Year” titles, “Team of the Year” titles and Classic titles. His competitive fishing career led him to representing Canada at the inaugural 2018 Pan American Black Bass Championships, the XIV Black Bass World Championship in Mexico and the 2019 Pan American Black Bass Championship held on Lake St. Francis where he recently celebrated a GOLD medal victory with the rest of Team Canada. A highly sought after seminar presenter, David enjoys sharing his vast knowledge of fishing and competitive angling with inquiring anglers, young and old. He’s also a committed conservationist, outdoor writer, podcaster, blogger, film maker and TV personality. But what truly makes Gunther extraordinary is the way he uses his complete lack of sight to visualize the underwater world. Coupled with a Masters in Environmental Studies and his fascination with local knowledge, Gunther’s passion is capturing and sharing knowledge about fish and fishing through his Blue Fish Radio podcast, and passing on a love for fishing to youth through the charity Blue Fish Canada. Gunther founded the charity in 2012 to ensure revenues generated by his award-winning documentary “What Lies Below” are used to strengthen the future of fish and fishing. |

Daniel founded Live 2 Fish in 2012 and his passion for fishing and the outdoors has taken him all over North America as a guide, writer, photographer and educator. From small creek brook trout and Great Lakes bass to snook in the surf and peacock bass in the swamps, Daniel loves catching fish!

Jamie has been guiding full time for 7 years and has fished all over North and South America, the Caribbean for over 35 years. His angling specialties both on spinning gear and on the fly are trophy musky, gar and other fish with teeth. Jamie hosted a season of Big City Fishing on WFN, and has appeared as a regular guest on The New Fly Fisher, Fish'N Canada and The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons. Jamie has written several articles for Outdoor Canada and has been featured in numerous fishing publications including the cover of Ontario Out Of Doors. Jamie is also the co-host of a new podcast called" The Tackle Box" with Brad Sinopoli on the Outdoor Journal Network. Conservation and introducing kids to the sport are also his passions.

![]() MUSKY MISTAKES: MAKE SMALL CHANGES TO CATCH MORE FISH! Presented by: Lisa Goodier Lisa Goodier is a full-time musky guide at The Ottawa River Musky Factory. Muskies were love at first sight for her and have been all encompassing in her life since she caught her first 10 years ago. She is a proud Muskies Canada member and volunteer and a Pro staffer for Musky Factory Baits and Suick Lure Company. Lisa has delivered presentations at various fishing events including The Muskies Canada Odyssey and online seminars. She has been featured in print and online publications such as Just Fishing and Ontario Out of Doors. She also appeared in the TV show Setting the Hook with Brent Bochek. Now going into her fifth season all the while being mentored by musky legend John Anderson and with over 450 charters under her belt - She has progressed from student to teacher. Lisa is a longtime volunteer with Blue Fish Canada and is passionate about teaching sustainable fishing practices and ensuring the future of recreational fishing in Canada. |

![]() HOW TO BREAK DOWN A NEW BODY OF WATER Presented by: Cara Carmichael Cara Carmichael grew up in the Ottawa Valley, spending a great deal of time targeting many of its surrounding rivers and lakes. She is a competitive tournament Bass Angler, and has also become a crowd pleasing speaker in the fishing industry.

![]() SMALLMOUTH FROM TOP TO BOTTOM Presented by: Peter Larmand A bass tournament angler and past champion with multiple big fish awards that has competed in both Canada and the United States. Having fished some of the bigger tournament series in Ontario and Quebec, Peter has a vast amount of bass fishing knowledge that he loves sharing with anglers young and old. Peter also runs the Peter Larmand Outdoors Kids Charity Tournament. A very successful kids charity fishing tournament for youth of all ages. His passion for fishing and the outdoors shows in all that he does. Peter also designs his own clothing line, PL Outdoor Wear, giving UV protected clothing for the entire family and is the owner of Big Rideau Tackle in Smiths Falls. His knowledge and passion for fishing will hopefully help you land more fish for you this season. |

![]() HOW SCIENCE CAN MAKE YOU A BETTER ANGLER Presented by: Sean Landsman Dr. Sean Landsman is a fisheries scientist and Instructor at Carleton University's Institute for Environmental and Interdisciplinary Science. He studies the behaviour and ecology of a variety of freshwater fish species as well as the impacts of catch-and-release angling on game fishes. Dr. Landsman is an avid angler with a particular passion for muskies and big wintertime walleye. He frequently conducts outreach with the angling community and seeks to make fisheries science both accessible and relevant to anglers.

![]() WHAT WAS OLD IS NEW Presented by: "Big" Jim McLaughlin “Big” Jim, as he is affectionately known, has been an integral part of the Canadian sport fishing scene for over 35 years. Having first gained notoriety as a tournament angler, he was vaulted into the sport fishing spotlight with two CFT Canadian Classics along with a slew of tournament victories numbering 29 to his credit. Following his tournament success, “Big” Jim formed what has become Canada’s largest free fishing publication of 25 years – JUST FISHING. He holds the Rick Amsbury Hall of Fame Award presented by the Canadian Sportfishing Hall of Fame, and is in the Angler division of the Canadian Sportfishing Hall of Fame. |
